TL;DR
ISP Network Support Engineer (BGP, MikroTik, SD-WAN): Supporting and troubleshooting production ISP infrastructure across fiber, fixed wireless, bonded WAN, Starlink, and SD-WAN deployments with an accent on routing, failover, wireless backhaul, and high availability. Focus on diagnosing complex connectivity issues, configuring MikroTik and Peplink environments, resolving BGP/OSPF and VoIP problems, and maintaining reliable customer-facing network services.
Location: Remote from Costa Rica, Mexico, or Colombia; working hours aligned with U.S. business hours. Rotating after-hours emergency support is required approximately one week per month.

is recruiting for a client requiring customer-facing ISP network support and production network operations.
What you will do
- Diagnose customer connectivity, latency, packet loss, routing, WAN, failover, VPN, VLAN, wireless, and VoIP issues.
- Configure and maintain routers, firewalls, VLANs, NAT, QoS, VPNs, MikroTik RouterOS, and Peplink SpeedFusion environments.
- Monitor and operate edge routing, wireless backhaul, bonded WAN, and core ISP infrastructure.
- Support Cambium, Ubiquiti, Siklu, Aviat, PTP/PMP, mmWave, Starlink, and hybrid WAN deployments.
- Provision customer connections and maintain network diagrams, IP documentation, configuration backups, and troubleshooting records.
- Coordinate with engineering and field teams while communicating technical findings and resolutions to customers.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in an ISP, WISP, FTTH, MSP, or similar production network environment.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, WAN connectivity, failover systems, TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, VLANs, BGP, and OSPF.
- Experience configuring routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs and troubleshooting live production network issues methodically.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for technical and customer-facing work.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and participate in rotating after-hours emergency support.
Nice to have
- MikroTik RouterOS, Peplink SpeedFusion, and InControl2 experience.
- Experience with Cambium, Ubiquiti, Siklu, Aviat, fixed wireless, WISP deployments, PTP/PMP, or mmWave backhaul.
- Starlink, hybrid WAN, multi-WAN, high-availability, SIP, VoIP, and voice-quality optimization experience.
