Product Manager (Semantics Adoption & Knowledge Modelling) (OWL/RDF/S, SKOS, SPARQL): Enabling adoption of a semantic abstraction layer by developing canonical domain models, semantic standards, and practical modelling capabilities across platform and business teams with an accent on ontology design, graph databases, and knowledge transfer. Focus on translating expert domain knowledge into interoperable models, reviewing model quality, and helping teams move from hands-on delivery to independent semantic modelling.
Location: Berlin, Germany. Service region: Germany, France, and Switzerland.

What you will do
- Enable platform architects and engineers through training on semantic modelling, OWL/RDF/S standards, graph databases, ontology patterns, and common pitfalls.
- Guide implementation of the ontology management service and establish semantic standards, naming conventions, annotation requirements, and shared vocabularies.
- Work with business subject-matter experts and data modelers to create canonical domain models through hands-on working sessions.
- Build modelling autonomy through coaching, reusable guides, practical examples, and decision frameworks.
- Explain the business value of semantic technologies through findability, interoperability, intellectual property protection, and reduced integration costs.
- Review submitted models for structural quality, pattern adherence, and interoperability readiness, identifying anti-patterns before publication.
Requirements
- Hands-on ontology development experience in industrial or enterprise environments.
- Fluent practical knowledge of OWL, RDF/S, SKOS, and SPARQL.
- Experience operating open-standards graph databases, including configuration, data loading, querying, and performance considerations.
- Ability to translate complex domain knowledge from subject-matter experts into formal semantic models.
- Experience introducing semantic technologies to teams new to ontology-based approaches and demonstrating successful adoption.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain modelling concepts without jargon and create practical guidance documents.
