Test Triage Analyst I (Autonomous Vehicles): Analyze failures in autonomous driving systems across real-world and simulated testing environments with an accent on root cause analysis, system architecture, and severity classification. Location: Hybrid work in the United States, with at least 3 days per week in an office. Available office locations include Bozeman, Coppell, Livonia, Louisville, Mountain View, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Seattle. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and may need employment-based visa sponsorship.
Salary: $72,000–$108,000 per year, plus annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do
- Perform root cause analysis of autonomy system failures and issues across real-world and simulated testing environments.
- Investigate autonomy capabilities and modules, form and validate hypotheses, and assess system and subsystem performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external domain experts on root cause analysis and severity scoring frameworks.
- Synthesize technical data into reports, feedback, visualizations, and analytical insights for cross-functional teams.
- Create and maintain hierarchical failure tags and taxonomies to identify trends and recurring issues.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and maintain documentation and training materials.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand, analyze, and explain system-level and subsystem-level failures in complex autonomous software systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting, escalations, corrective actions, process optimization, and identifying workflow bottlenecks.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, collaborate across operations, safety, product, and technical groups, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work from the United States and attend an office at least 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- BS or MS in STEM, statistics, operations research, economics, computer science, or engineering.
- 1+ year of experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics, including triage, motion planning, perception, mapping, localization, or testing operations.
- Experience in test evaluation, root cause analysis, or quality assurance and control.
- Intermediate experience with JQL, SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, C++, Bash, relational databases, or simulation software.
