Fullstack Engineer (Application Security)

TL;DR
Fullstack Engineer (Application Security) (.NET/Angular): Remediating vulnerabilities and hardening a cloud-based HR platform for public sector organizations with an accent on secure full-stack development, dependency upgrades, and infrastructure security. Focus on diagnosing breaking changes, writing tests for security fixes, coordinating credential rotations, and automating routine dependency updates.
Location: Remote from Colombia; the location field specifies Bogota.

What you will do
- Remediate vulnerabilities across backend, frontend, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Upgrade dependencies and resolve build or application behavior changes caused by major version updates.
- Write unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests to verify security fixes.
- Harden Docker and Kubernetes configurations, rotate credentials, and coordinate safe rollouts with DevOps.
- Collaborate with repository owners, Security, QA, and engineering teams through reviews and implementation.
- Document findings, assess false positives, and automate routine dependency updates.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core Web API experience.
- Strong TypeScript skills and experience with Angular or another modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.
- Working knowledge of SQL, parameterization, and ORM or data access layers.
- Regular unit testing experience, strong Git skills, and the ability to understand unfamiliar codebases.
- Clear written and spoken English is required for daily collaboration.
Nice to have
- Angular experience is preferred.
- Integration or end-to-end testing experience.
- Security experience or a strong interest in application security.
- Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Docker, Azure, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with xUnit, Moq, coverlet, Karma, Jasmine, Aikido Security, or ESLint.
