AI-First Social Media Analyst (AI)

Location: Fully remote within South Africa; usual working hours are 9:00–17:30 GMT, with flexible start times from 8:00 GMT and end times up to 19:00 GMT.

Salary: Up to ZAR 350,000 per year on a full-time, permanent employment contract.

What you will do

• Contribute to client-facing social media insights reports by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting performance data.
• Build AI-assisted workflows for data cleaning, first-pass analysis, chart generation, draft narratives, and quality checks.
• Use LLMs such as Claude and ChatGPT to interrogate datasets, test hypotheses, and accelerate analytical work.
• Verify AI-assisted output against source data and identify inaccurate or unreliable claims before client delivery.
• Create visually consistent reports, presentations, and data-driven content and strategy recommendations.
• Document prompts, workflows, automations, and reporting processes so they can be reused across the team.

Requirements

• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis and numeracy skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in real work, including examples of workflows or tasks automated or accelerated.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and critically verify AI-generated results.
• Must work remotely from South Africa and align with the stated GMT working-hour window.

Nice to have

• Experience creating social media performance reports or using tools such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, or Socialinsider.
• Experience with native platform analytics tools including YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics, or Facebook Creator Studio.
• Light scripting with Python, SQL, or Apps Script.
• Experience with Zapier, Make, n8n, Claude Code, Cursor, custom GPTs, or similar automation and agentic AI tools.
• A side project, script, or workflow created to solve a recurring problem.
