Salary: $55,000–$70,000 base annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

  • Review incoming security signals and use established playbooks to qualify activity as benign or potentially malicious.
  • Reduce alert fatigue by dismissing non-actionable and benign signals.
  • Categorize and tag qualified threats and create clear investigation tickets for senior analysts.
  • Participate in training modules, labs, certification programs, and operational shadowing.
  • Identify noisy signal sources and document trends to support detection tuning.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience through internships, bootcamps, or self-directed learning.
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows or Mac operating systems, basic networking concepts including IPs, DNS, and HTTP, and common security terminology.
  • Ability to follow logical workflows and playbooks while applying strong analytical thinking.
  • Clear written communication for documenting findings and creating escalation tickets.
  • Must be located in the United States and able to work remotely.
  • Active participation in conferences, CTFs, or cybersecurity organizations.

Nice to have

  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or a similar entry-level certification.
  • Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and interest in progressing into security operations.
