TL;DR
Innovative Finance Communication Consultant (Innovative Finance): Developing and delivering communication materials, advocacy content, and outreach for UNICEF’s Innovative Finance Hub with an accent on child-lens investing, external positioning, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on coordinating content launches, strengthening message resonance, supporting events, and analyzing communication effectiveness.
Location: Office-based in Helsinki, Finland

What you will do
- Coordinate content development and identify communication needs with technical colleagues and partners.
- Draft web articles, human-interest stories, newsletters, thought pieces, press releases, multimedia content, and advocacy materials.
- Maintain content for the Hub’s website and intranet, while aligning messaging with ’s organizational positioning.
- Support outreach, events, conferences, pitch presentations, and engagement with internal and external communication specialists.
- Build and maintain a contributor network and an organized repository of communication assets.
- Track communication performance, monitor the external landscape, and provide recommendations to improve message resonance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, mass media, advertising, international development, sustainability studies, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, unless replaced by a relevant Master’s degree.
- English is required.
- Ability to read Finnish media and other communication materials is required.
- Previous experience creating social media content.
- Ability to work onsite in Helsinki and submit monthly consultancy deliverables over the 16-month engagement.
