TL;DR
Software Engineer (f/m/d) – Cross-Platform SDK Development (TypeScript/JavaScript): Building and evolving high-performance SDKs for connected TV and mobile platforms with an accent on shared architecture, native platform integration, and testing. Focus on aligning SDK ecosystems, solving platform-specific performance challenges, and reducing technical debt while maintaining reliable cross-device experiences.
Location: Hybrid in Berlin or Cologne, Germany; remote by default with on-site collaboration for larger features, architectural decisions, and brainstorming.

What you will do
- Develop and evolve high-performance SDKs for Apple TV, Fire TV, Android, HbbTV, and iOS.
- Align platform architectures and identify overlaps across SDKs and engineering tools.
- Contribute to product direction by balancing feature delivery, strategic refactoring, and technical-debt reduction.
- Implement native platform-specific logic on top of a shared TypeScript core.
- Build comprehensive automated testing with Jest and Vitest.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to high-quality code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong experience with TypeScript and complex software architectures.
- Ability to work with Vanilla JavaScript when required by a platform.
- Experience in mobile or device-specific development, including React Native, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Understanding of performance optimization for resource-constrained devices.
- Hands-on experience with Jest and Vitest.
- Ability to connect different technical perspectives and collaborate across platforms.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Ability to use Grafana dashboards and Graylog traces for production troubleshooting.
- Portfolio, side project, or demo repository demonstrating production-ready software.
