QA Engineer (InsurTech)

TL;DR

QA Engineer (InsurTech): Testing and improving digital home-insurance products across the full delivery lifecycle with an accent on manual testing, API validation, and risk-based quality assurance. Focus on designing complex test cases, expanding regression coverage with SDETs, and coordinating quality activities across engineering and product teams.

Location: Warsaw or remote from Poland; availability for afternoon work and occasional evening meetings is required.

Salary: 14,000–16,000 PLN + VAT per month on B2B, or an equivalent amount on an employment contract.

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering teams from requirements analysis and test planning through execution, regression testing, and release sign-off.
• Partner with Product Managers to prioritize testing, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing.
• Design and execute manual tests for complex frontend and backend systems, including functional, integration, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Work with SDETs to expand and maintain automated test coverage for new features and regression suites.
• Identify quality risks proactively and coordinate with manual QA engineers on cross-team initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA experience with a focus on manual Black Box, White Box, and Grey Box testing.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes, test case design, execution, and reporting.
• Experience with functional, integration, end-to-end, and API testing using Postman.
• Experience testing complex frontend and backend systems and creating test cases based on business rules.
• Experience with test case management tools, preferably Xray, plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great written and spoken English, at least basic Polish, and availability for afternoon work with occasional evening meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience in a product company, preferably a startup or scale-up.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their impact on QA.
• Experience with Jira, agile testing methodologies, Salesforce, or another CRM.
