Middle Research Engineer (AI): Exploring emerging AI, computer vision, CGI, CAD, and 3D technologies by developing feasibility studies, proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and client-facing demonstrations with an accent on applied research and technology validation. Focus on formulating hypotheses, implementing experiments, advising clients on architectures and implementation strategies, and presenting research outcomes.
Location: Ukraine; remote or office work available.

What you will do
- Research emerging technologies and validate technical approaches through feasibility studies and proofs-of-concept.
- Manage the research lifecycle from hypothesis formulation and experimentation through implementation, documentation, and academic presentation.
- Develop advanced prototypes, technical demonstrations, and technology showcases using AI, computer vision, machine learning, CGI, CAD, and 3D technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, business stakeholders, and clients to address complex technical and business challenges.
- Advise clients and internal teams on technologies, architectures, industry trends, and implementation strategies.
- Support business development and represent research outcomes at presentations, workshops, conferences, meetups, and research events.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or another related exact science discipline; CGI or CAD specialization is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision, machine learning, generative AI, or large language models.
- Practical programming experience with Python or C++ and a solid understanding of modern software development practices.
- Experience with CGI frameworks, CAD platforms such as Autodesk Inventor, FreeCAD, or OpenCAD, and modern graphics pipelines.
- Experience developing applications with 3D engines and tools such as Unreal Engine or Blender.
- Research, academic collaboration, communication, consulting, and independent working skills; upper-intermediate English or higher required.
