What you will do

• Develop and maintain the technical pipeline for the Animation Division, ensuring stability and scalability across Maya, Houdini, Gaffer, Nuke, and Photoshop.
• Create robust Maya plugins, scripts, and user interfaces using Python and PyQt/PySide.
• Reduce manual artist effort and eliminate repeated technical fixes across departments.
• Triage and resolve pipeline or tooling failures rapidly to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with animators and riggers to diagnose workflow issues and deploy targeted technical solutions.
• Maintain code quality using Git and automated CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Maya tool development and pipeline integration in high-end VFX or 3D animation.
• Deep expertise in maya.cmds, Maya Python API, and ideally C++.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and PyQt/PySide.
• Strong understanding of 3D animation, rigging, and layout workflows.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be based in Hungary (for employment) or within the European time zone (for freelance).
