What you will do

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Implement core logic for cell balancing, charging control, thermal management, and contactor controls.
• Integrate supplier sub-systems into the core Zoox software stack.
• Create comprehensive software requirements, design documentation, and test plans.
• Work cross-functionally with vehicle, controls, and validation engineers to ensure a seamless automated experience.
• Contribute to all SDLC phases, including prototyping, implementation, and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience developing real-time embedded software for Power Electronics and Battery Management.
• Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++.
• Experience with embedded micro-controllers and/or microprocessors such as ARM or PowerPC.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and system debugging.
• Deep understanding of sensors, actuators, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN).

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of control systems for electromechanical systems.
• Experience with CAN/LIN analysis and debugging tools (PCAN, CANalyzer, CANape).
• Familiarity with high-assurance development practices (ISO-26262, MISRA C/C++, Polarion).
