What you will do

• Develop innovative character, environment, and asset designs that push the boundaries of the show's aesthetic.
• Collaborate closely with the Art Director to realize the overall visual vision and narrative integration.
• Lead the establishment of mood, tone, and atmosphere for various settings within the series.
• Guide and mentor junior designers to improve their skills and maintain team excellence.
• Coordinate with animation and art teams to ensure designs are effectively executable within the pipeline.
• Present advanced concepts and iterate based on feedback to refine visual storytelling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field.
• Proven professional experience as a Designer or Concept Artist within the animation industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Photoshop and a rudimentary understanding of Maya, Nuke, and Premiere.
• Strong grasp of art fundamentals and complex problem-solving skills.
• Clear understanding of the animation production pipeline and scheduling.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Vancouver, BC.
