TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AI): Building and maintaining cloud and on-prem infrastructure for an AI safety platform with an accent on Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and observability. Focus on optimizing production reliability, managing GPU workloads, and ensuring low-latency connectivity across the stack.
Location: Hybrid, must be based in or be able to relocate to Paris, France
Salary: $80,000 – $150,000 + Equity

AI Safety company building a reliability and optimization layer for AI systems using natural-language policies.
What you will do
- Design and maintain production infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environments.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters for scaling, reliability, and daily operations.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to increase shipping speed and predictability.
- Implement IaC using Terraform to ensure environment consistency.
- Manage networking, routing, firewalls, and load balancing to achieve minimum latency.
- Create Python scripts and internal tools to automate operational workflows.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, S3, EKS, ECR) and on-prem infrastructure.
- Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals for production system troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS, k0s) and containerization.
- Experience building reliable CI/CD pipelines and implementing IaC with Terraform.
- Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, routing, load balancing).
- Fluent English is required
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning or GPU workloads.
- Experience with multi-cluster or multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to air-gapped or security-focused infrastructure.
