TL;DR
Supply & Logistics Associate (G-7) (Supply Chain/Logistics): Managing end-to-end supply chain operations in Managua with an accent on procurement, contracting, warehousing, inventory, and in-country logistics. Focus on coordinating complex cases, strengthening national supply chains, supervising staff, and improving delivery mechanisms in development and humanitarian contexts.
Location: Onsite in Managua, Nicaragua. Applicants must already hold valid visa and work permit documents; will not facilitate visa or work authorization for General Service positions.

What you will do
- Manage end-to-end supply chain planning, procurement, contracting, logistics, warehousing, and inventory activities.
- Handle complex supply chain cases and client requests, adapting procedures to resolve difficult situations.
- Coordinate with the Operations Officer, Supply and Logistics Committee, vendors, partners, and government stakeholders.
- Strengthen national and government supply chains, including localization and alternative delivery mechanisms.
- Support emergency preparedness, procurement services, supply financing, and humanitarian response.
- Maintain supply chain information, data management, reporting, and improved delivery mechanisms.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary education; professional or university courses related to the field are desirable.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in supply management, contracting, logistics, administration, import/export, emergency operations, or transportation.
- Skills in supply chain coordination, policy compliance, vendor relations, logistics reporting, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Valid visa and work permit for Nicaragua are required; visa and work authorization will not be facilitated for this General Service position.
- Ability to supervise others and work independently on specialized supply chain operations.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems, supply platforms, acquisition frameworks, or warehouse supervision.
- Experience in , the United Nations, or other international organizations.
- Country-level experience in development, fragile, or humanitarian contexts.
- Knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or a local language.
