Principal Engineer, VaiDA Mobile Experience (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid or on-site: work remotely up to two days per week in the hybrid designation, or work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.

Base salary: $166,640–$250,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications and features for the VaiDA AI experience.
• Own the technical direction and architecture for VaiDA mobile experiences.
• Translate AI-driven capabilities into clear, intuitive mobile workflows.
• Integrate iOS and Android applications with AI and agentic platforms, APIs, backend services, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure mobile applications are secure, scalable, reliable, accessible, and optimized for performance.
• Manage mobile application signing, provisioning, releases, certificate requirements, and enterprise deployments through platforms such as Microsoft Intune.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience developing and delivering mobile applications, including native iOS and Android applications.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, design patterns, secure development, responsive UI, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, backend services, AI, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience submitting and maintaining applications on both iOS and Android, including signing, provisioning, and release management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and product-quality skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-enabled or conversational mobile applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise mobile applications, productivity tools, intelligent assistants, or agentic platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
• Experience with agile product development and strong visual and interaction design judgment.
