Application Developer (Microsoft .NET): Designing and developing secure, scalable APIs, backend services, and database solutions with an accent on .NET modernization, API architecture, and enterprise integrations. Focus on migrating legacy .NET Framework systems to modern .NET versions, optimizing Oracle and SQL Server procedures, and meeting demanding performance, scalability, and security requirements.

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal. Portuguese citizenship is required. The project runs from 15 September 2026 to 15 March 2027.

Salary: €4,285–€4,860 gross per month, including fixed and variable compensation, meal allowance, remote-work allowance, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop RESTful APIs, backend solutions, and secure background services using .NET.
• Modernize legacy .NET Framework 4.6.2 applications by migrating them to current .NET versions, including .NET 8/10.
• Build front-end components with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Razor, Knockout, Bootstrap, and ASP.NET MVC.
• Develop and maintain WCF SOAP-based backend services.
• Design API architecture, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and optimize database procedures in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in .NET development and related technologies.
• Strong experience with .NET, legacy .NET Framework, RESTful APIs, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Oracle PL/SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience building scalable backend services and defining API architecture and integration patterns.
• Fluent English is required.
• Portuguese citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js, Angular, or React.
• Knowledge of cloud-native and containerized environments such as OpenShift.
• Previous experience in the banking sector.
