Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States; periodic travel to global manufacturing sites and development partners may be required.
Salary: USD $84,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do
- Support product requirement and primary concern documentation in quality management systems throughout product development.
- Translate product concepts, play patterns, and consumer use conditions into mechanical, physical, chemical, and abuse testing plans.
- Review designs, test plans, laboratory reports, and product validation results for safety, durability, regulatory compliance, and consumer experience.
- Analyze testing data, consumer complaints, returns, and field performance to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate product failures, safety issues, and manufacturing defects using root cause analysis and support corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, development, packaging, regulatory, manufacturing, suppliers, and testing laboratories on quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality engineering, product development, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of global toy safety standards and regulations, including ASTM F963, CPSIA, EN71, and ISO.
- Experience with quality management systems, quality documentation, internal or third-party testing laboratories, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, data interpretation, risk management, and root cause analysis tools such as FMEA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in the toy or consumer products industry.
- Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab.
