Senior 3D Animator

Location: Montréal, Québec, Canada; hybrid flexibility is available, with the option to work from the studio or remotely.

What you will do

• Create high-level keyframe animation from storyboards, 2D animatics, and reference materials.
• Animate characters with consistent quality from shot to shot while following the Animation Director's artistic vision.
• Analyze organic movement, including weight and fluidity, and apply traditional animation principles.
• Meet production deadlines and quotas while preparing work for daily validation.
• Implement feedback and corrections from the Animation Director using strong analytical skills.
• Participate in team meetings and sequence launches.

Requirements

• College or university education in animation or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in high-quality 3D animation.
• Strong proficiency with Maya for animation.
• Excellent knowledge of traditional animation techniques and character movement principles.
• Ability to interpret animated or static storyboards and work with tight deadlines.
• Creativity, autonomy, rigor, attention to detail, adaptability, communication skills, and openness to constructive criticism.

• Knowledge of visual effects.
