Director of Photography (Video Production)

Location: Salzburg or Vienna, Austria. Hybrid work with the option to work from home or the hirify.global office.

Salary: €47,000 gross annual starting salary for a full-time position based in Austria.

What you will do

• Lead high-end video productions from concept through final delivery across campaigns, branded content, and social-first formats.
• Translate creative concepts into cinematic visuals adapted to each brand and platform.
• Select and operate camera, lighting, audio, and mobile production equipment, including RED Cinema, Sony, and GoPro systems.
• Direct on-set decision-making and solve creative and technical challenges in fast-paced studio and on-location environments.
• Manage post-production workflows including editing, color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, visual effects, mastering, and file optimization.
• Collaborate with creatives, producers, strategists, and clients while managing multiple productions and media workflows.

Requirements

• Experienced Director of Photography with strong technical expertise and a distinctive creative vision.
• Hands-on experience with RED Cinema, Sony cameras, mobile production, GoPro systems, professional lighting, and audio recording.
• Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to manage complete production workflows and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Availability to work in Salzburg or Vienna, Austria.
• English is the main team language.
