Senior Pentester (Cybersecurity)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with agreed days at home and at the ING MAD office

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests across applications, infrastructure, and systems.
• Assess and report vulnerability risks, providing actionable remediation guidance.
• Support the implementation of IT security requirements and standards across projects.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve security posture.
• Mentor team members and contribute to internal testing methodologies and tools.
• Track emerging threats, offensive security tools, and attack techniques.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools and methodologies, including Burp Suite, Nmap, Ghidra, IDA, and Frida.
• Good knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities.
• Relevant hands-on certifications such as eWPTX, OSWE, OSEP, BSCP, or CPTS.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of advanced persistent threats and modern attack techniques.
• Experience with cloud security and testing cloud environments.
• Cybersecurity research contributions, registered CVEs, or conference presentations.
• Higher technical education, preferably in Information Technology.
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM and experience in an international environment.
