Network Automation Software Lead (AI)

Location: Remote, Las Vegas, Nevada; authorization to work in the United States required

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end zero-touch provisioning pipeline for bare-metal switches, from boot and configuration through registration, validation, and production readiness.
• Build intent-based configuration generation, GitOps-style deployment, pre- and post-change validation, and safe rollout and rollback.
• Develop network validation, snapshot and digital-twin testing, telemetry, metrics, logging, dashboards, and alerting for GPU fabrics.
• Monitor RoCE health, PFC/ECN counters, optics and link errors, BGP/EVPN state, capacity, and utilization.
• Deliver self-service APIs and interfaces while integrating the platform with infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, secrets, identity, and observability systems.
• Hire, mentor, and lead software engineers and SREs while owning the roadmap, technical direction, delivery, code quality, testing, releases, and on-call operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience building network automation at scale, preferably in a hyperscaler, large cloud, datacenter, or AI infrastructure environment.
• End-to-end experience building a ZTP or device-provisioning system and production software engineering experience with Python and/or Go, version control, testing, CI/CD, and code review.
• Strong knowledge of datacenter Clos fabrics and BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and ideally RoCEv2/RDMA for GPU networks.
• Experience with gNMI/gNOI, OpenConfig/YANG, NETCONF, NetBox or Nautobot, SONiC/FRR, Nornir, NAPALM, or Ansible.
• Experience with observability and telemetry pipelines, Kubernetes or containers, and network validation or automation services.
• Leadership experience as a team lead or clear technical owner, with an internal-customer mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU or AI training and inference clusters and their backend networks.
• Familiarity with AMD Pensando DPUs, Ultra Ethernet, or Ethernet-based RDMA fabrics.
• Experience with whitebox networking, SONiC at scale, Batfish, containerlab, and multi-site or multi-region datacenter buildouts.
