Network Automation Software Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end ZTP pipeline from bare-metal switch boot to production readiness with zero human intervention.
• Develop intent-based config generation using GitOps-style deployment, pre/post-change validation, and safe rollouts.
• Establish network validation and pre-deployment testing using digital-twin tooling to catch errors before production.
• Build streaming telemetry and metrics pipelines using gNMI and OpenConfig to monitor GPU network health (RoCE, BGP/EVPN).
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of software engineers and SREs, managing the roadmap and delivery.
• Ensure clean integration of the automation platform with the broader infrastructure stack, including CI/CD, secrets, and identity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in network automation at scale (hyperscaler, large cloud, or large-scale datacenter).
• Proven track record of building an end-to-end ZTP/device-provisioning system from scratch.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python and/or Go with production-grade practices (CI/CD, testing, code review).
• Hands-on depth with datacenter Clos fabrics and protocols: BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and RoCEv2/RDMA.
• Fluency with gNMI/gNOI, OpenConfig/YANG, NETCONF, and source-of-truth systems like NetBox or Nautobot.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU/AI training or inference clusters and AMD networking ecosystem (Pensando DPUs).
• Familiarity with whitebox/disaggregated networking and SONiC at scale.
• Experience with network validation tools such as Batfish or containerlab.
• Experience with multi-site or multi-region datacenter buildouts.
