hirify.global is presenting a contract opportunity focused on mechanical CAD expertise and emerging AI technology.

What you will do

• Develop fully parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies in Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Edit and update existing models while preserving design intent, manufacturability, and engineering specifications.
• Review and audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy, GD&T compliance, and overall design quality.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability principles to injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining, casting, and forging.
• Deliver accurate CAD data and document engineering decisions to support AI model development.
• Communicate design rationale and technical feedback while contributing to improvements in engineering datasets and AI-generated outputs.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise with Autodesk Fusion 360 and parametric CAD modeling.
• Experience with GD&T, mechanical assembly modeling, CAD model auditing, and reverse engineering.
• Practical knowledge of DFM and manufacturing processes including injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting, and forging.
• Experience with Python, iLogic, NX Open, VBA, or similar CAD automation and scripting tools.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• At least 4 years of experience in CAD model editing; 10+ years for complex model creation.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, FreeCAD, or other parametric CAD platforms.
• Experience applying ASME Y14.5 or equivalent GD&T standards in engineering projects.
• Assembly-level mechanical design experience.
• Scan-to-CAD and point cloud conversion experience.
• CAD automation or scripting experience with Python, iLogic, NX Open, VBA, or similar tools.
