France Auditor Manager

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop employed and subcontracted auditors, including intermediate team leaders.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and auditor competence authorisation.
• Oversee audit programmes, resource allocation, utilisation, KPIs, quality indicators, and operational performance.
• Support complex certification decisions, escalations, audit methodology changes, and accreditation assessments.
• Build relationships with strategic clients and support retention, tenders, business development, and client presentations.
• Facilitate auditor meetings, technical workshops, competence development, and selected audit activities.

Requirements

• Fluent French and English, written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as environment, chemistry, energy, or mechanical engineering.
• Significant experience in third-party certification, auditing, assurance, or conformity assessment.
• Lead Auditor qualification in one or more recognised certification schemes.
• Strong knowledge of accreditation requirements and certification processes.
• Proven experience leading technical teams, auditors, or operational professionals with strong coaching and decision-making skills.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary auditor teams.
• Experience supporting commercial growth, tenders, and strategic client development.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defence, nuclear, manufacturing, food, sustainability, information security, or ESG services.
• Experience working with accreditation bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Previous management experience within a certification or assurance organisation.
