Legal Counsel

TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Tech): Supporting high-speed growth of the marketplace and international expansion with an accent on commercial contracts, e-commerce, consumer protection, and competition law. Focus on providing creative legal solutions for OTA roles, managing litigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple EU jurisdictions.

Location: Paris or Remote from France (Hybrid setup available)

What you will do

• Act as a trusted advisor for marketplace, bus, and train business teams across EU jurisdictions.
• Draft and negotiate all types of contracts, including commercial contracts and partnership agreements.
• Manage pre-litigations and litigations.
• Collaborate with government relations teams to respond to requests from regulators.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, digital law, and competition law.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in an EU country.
• Experience in start-ups and new technology companies, either in-house or in private practice.
• Expertise in e-commerce, platform regulation, and consumer protection.
• Full working proficiency in English and French.
• Must be based in France (Paris or Remote).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of foreign laws (e.g., Spain, Mexico, Ukraine).
• Experience in the transport industry.
