What you will do

• Review and audit outpatient professional fee coding records for accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Identify coding trends, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate audit findings against academic medical center protocols and industry best practices.
• Document audit results and provide clear written explanations for AI training and development.
• Provide expert feedback on complex coding, documentation, and auditing scenarios.
• Collaborate with project teams on ambiguous coding and compliance cases and support audit program management initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong experience in outpatient professional fee coding and coding auditing.
• Experience in an academic medical center environment.
• Knowledge of medical coding guidelines, compliance review, documentation analysis, and audit methodologies.
• Ability to identify issues and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: 10+ years of medical coding experience, focused on outpatient professional fee coding and auditing.
