TL;DR
Senior Backend Developer (AI) (Java/Go): Building and maintaining backend systems for customer onboarding and lifecycle management with an accent on API design, event-driven architectures, microservices, and AI-assisted development. Focus on designing event schemas, implementing event streaming and event sourcing with Apache Pulsar, and automating delivery through Kubernetes and GitOps.
Location: Austria, with work-from-home options
Salary: Minimum EUR 3,725.93 gross per month under the Austrian Banking Collective Agreement; the actual salary is determined individually.

What you will do
- Develop, improve, and maintain backend systems using Java and Go in Kubernetes.
- Use AI technologies to accelerate feature development and create migration prototypes and solution proposals.
- Design APIs, event-driven architectures, and event schemas.
- Implement microservices, Functions as a Service, event streaming, and event sourcing with Apache Pulsar.
- Automate integration, testing, and deployment through declarative GitOps with ArgoCD.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with Product Owners, business analysts, frontend developers, testers, and DevOps specialists.
Requirements
- Several years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Go.
- Practical interest in integrating AI into software projects.
- Ability to present prototypes and technical concepts to senior management.
- Strong communication, structured problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
- Very good command of English is mandatory.
