TL;DR
General Installation Coordinator (GIC) (Semiconductor Equipment): Coordinating logistics, materials, site readiness, safety training, access, and close-out activities for ASML system installations, upgrades, and relocations at customer sites in Japan with an accent on SAP and non-SAP material flows, stakeholder communication, and installation preparation. Focus on managing complex project dependencies, resolving material and site-readiness issues, and maintaining predictable execution across customer, partner, and global operational teams.

Location: Hiroshima, Japan; travel to customer sites across Japan is required, with occasional international business travel possible.

What you will do

  • Coordinate project preparation, logistics, materials, site readiness, access, safety training, and installation close-out.
  • Prepare laptops and arrange badging and site access for hirify.global and TRUMPF project members.
  • Check safety training validity, including Japan full-harness training, and coordinate requirements with planners and EHS.
  • Manage SAP confirmations, material notifications, PDL and service-order materials, and non-SAP delivery and return flows.
  • Track project actions, owners, material issues, site-readiness items, and close-out tasks across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement by structuring local ways of working, improving handovers, and strengthening customer communication.

Requirements

  • Japanese: intermediate level or above; customer communication is typically conducted in Japanese.
  • English: fluent or native level.
  • Strong planning, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure in a complex, fast-changing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, as well as project tracking tools.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across Japan and work with local and global functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience or interest in semiconductor equipment, cleanroom operations, or installation projects.
  • Strong documentation and communication abilities in both English and Japanese.
  • Structured problem-solving, ownership, proactive follow-up, and sound judgment under changing priorities.
