Senior Application Developer (Quantum Computing)

TL;DR
Senior Application Developer (Python/Quantum): Developing industry-leading applications and algorithms for D-Wave’s advanced quantum systems with an accent on solving complex computational problems for government and commercial customers. Focus on optimizing Python codebases, implementing complex algorithms, and delivering high-value business solutions using the LEAP cloud service and Ocean tools.
Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States and be able to obtain a US Government Top Secret security clearance)

What you will do
- Develop algorithms to solve complex problems on computers and internal tools.
- Implement and optimize the Python codebase for commercial quantum applications.
- Build custom applications for market release and specific customer needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design customized solutions.
- Utilize LEAP quantum cloud service and Ocean open-source software tools to solve real-world challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
- BSc in Computer Science or related technical field (Masters or PhD is a bonus).
- Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, and mathematics.
- Proven experience working with federal agencies.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain a US Government Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Git and implementing complex algorithms.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Networkx.
