Salary: $90,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do
- Protect company assets, personnel, property, and customer freight.
- Conduct corporate and criminal investigations, prepare detailed reports, and provide court testimony.
- Identify and handle trespassers, make arrests when appropriate, and conduct crime-prevention patrols.
- Coordinate responses to railroad emergencies, including derailments and load-securement incidents.
- Advise company officials, supervise contract security guards, and train employees on security matters.
- Patrol facilities, railroad property, and trains with emphasis on automobiles and high-value shipments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least 18 months of successful full-time peace officer experience.
- Completion of basic police training at a recognized state-certified academy.
- Must meet Illinois peace officer commissioning standards, hold and maintain a valid state peace officer license, and be able to relocate within 50 miles of Cicero.
- Valid driver's license, physical and psychological fitness, successful background investigation, medical review, and drug screening.
- Broad knowledge of criminal law, police procedures, railroad operations, and emergency situations.
- Ability to travel extensively, lead people during critical events, use company systems for reports and databases, and complete required training.
