Transaction Services Associate

TL;DR

Transaction Services Associate (M&A/Accounting): Supporting buy-side and sell-side transactions through quality of earnings, net working capital, cash flow, and operational analyses with an accent on financial due diligence, GAAP, and client-facing reporting. Focus on evaluating complex transaction data, interviewing target-company executives, managing workstreams, and coaching junior team members.

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, New York, the San Francisco Bay Area, South Florida, Southern California, or Washington, D.C.; travel is required as needed based on client location.

Salary: $94,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze financial, operational, accounting, and tax issues associated with M&A transactions.
• Prepare and review quality of earnings and net working capital analyses for buy-side and sell-side deals.
• Research transaction-related financial and accounting matters and participate in executive interviews.
• Draft reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with project teams to manage workstreams and meet deadlines.
• Coach and guide junior team members while developing client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• At least four years of relevant transaction experience.
• Experience analyzing quality of earnings, EBITDA, net working capital, and cash flows.
• Advanced Excel skills, including SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH.
• Knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, analytical rigor, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required based on client location.
