What you will do

• Lead analysis for complex work spanning business functions, reporting needs, and firm data platforms.
• Conduct front-end analysis covering feasibility, data quality, and source-to-target mapping before delivery.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution intent and acceptance criteria for technical stakeholders.
• Query and profile data directly using SQL to define business rules, mappings, and system contracts.
• Support the migration of operational and reporting data from legacy sources to modern data platforms.
• Identify technical risks, including data gaps, downstream impacts, and regulatory implications.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Toronto, Canada
• 8+ years of experience as a Business, Data, or Solution Analyst in financial services or asset servicing.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, profiling, and interpreting data lineage and quality.
• Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into solution intent.
• Deep expertise in source-to-target mapping and creating data definitions.
• Expert proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern data platforms like Databricks or similar lakehouse/cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Exposure to Workday integration with finance data flows.
• Knowledge of fund administration or fund accounting data.
• Experience with agile delivery, Lean, or Six Sigma process improvement.
• Exposure to AI-assisted analysis and discovery tooling.
