Senior Solution Analyst (Data and Analytics) (Financial Data and Analytics): Defining complex data and analytics work across business functions, reporting needs, and modern data platforms with an accent on SQL-based analysis, data quality, source-to-target mapping, and solution intent. Focus on profiling operational and financial data, shaping trustworthy migrations and integrations, identifying downstream and regulatory risks, and translating between business and technical stakeholders.

Salary: CAD 82,500–121,000 yearly

What you will do
- Lead front-end analysis for complex initiatives spanning business functions, reporting requirements, and enterprise data platforms.
- Assess feasibility, data quality, source-to-target mappings, lineage, and readiness before delivery begins.
- Translate business requirements into solution intent, acceptance criteria, data definitions, business rules, and system contracts.
- Query and profile source data directly, investigate system behaviour, and identify data gaps, reconciliation risks, downstream impacts, and regulatory implications.
- Support operational, analytical, and reporting data migration to modern platforms while maintaining trustworthy and usable data structures.
- Document data flows, functional narratives, use cases, analytics, business metrics, adoption activities, and operational changes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Business, Data, or Solution Analyst in financial services, asset servicing, data and analytics, or a comparable environment.
- Strong SQL-based data analysis skills, including data querying, profiling, interpretation, quality assessment, and lineage analysis.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into solution intent and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with operational, analytical, or financial data, source-to-target mapping, data definitions, and cross-system consistency rules.
- Strong analytical judgement and the ability to work credibly with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Expert Excel proficiency and strong Microsoft Office skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks or comparable lakehouse and cloud data platforms.
- Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI or a comparable business intelligence tool.
- Exposure to Workday, data platform migration, integration, master data management, fund administration, or fund accounting data.
- Experience with AI-assisted analysis, agile delivery, Lean, or Six Sigma.
