ASO Manager

Location: Onsite in London with regular face-to-face collaboration

What you will do

• Build Proton’s internal outreach function, including strategy, quality standards, and scalable processes.
• Own backlink acquisition from major global technology, news, and consumer publications.
• Manage the agency roster, including partner selection, deliverables, performance tracking, and replacement of underperforming agencies.
• Conduct competitive link gap analysis and create campaigns to close ranking and authority gaps.
• Collaborate with PR, social, content, and affiliate teams to design assets and campaigns for link acquisition.
• Report on link volume, domain authority, organic traffic, and SERP performance across markets.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience leading outreach or digital PR on the agency or client side.
• Demonstrated success securing links from major publications rather than niche directories.
• Experience executing outreach across multiple languages and international markets.
• Track record of managing agencies, setting deliverables, and maintaining campaign continuity.
• Ability to analyze link profiles, identify structural gaps, and develop outreach strategies.
• Experience owning outreach budgets and balancing link quality, volume, and acquisition cost.
