What you will do

• Manage the capacity, reliability, uptime, operation, and maintenance of life safety systems.
• Provide sustaining and construction support for fire and evacuation, smoke detection, liquid leak detection, tool annunciation, and hazardous production material alarm systems.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs for HPM and TAS systems, including I/O point management.
• Maintain technical documentation and precision plans, drawings, and models for safe system operation.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and support safety best practices across cross-functional teams.
• Provide off-shift work and on-call coverage as required.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• This position is not eligible for hirify.global immigration sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, systems and controls, computer, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of practical controls systems engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with life safety systems, building codes, regulatory requirements, and NFPA standards.
• At least 3 years of hands-on programming experience with Siemens PLCs.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience with scripting, high-level programming languages, servers, operating systems, databases, and networking.
• Experience designing instrumentation for life safety systems.
• 5+ years of experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Automation RSView, and Cimplicity.
