Overview

Join Revolut's Site Reliability team as a DevOps Engineer with database expertise, driving automation and tooling to manage, scale, and maintain their databases. You will build self-service database tools, optimize automation, and lead incident response for production database issues.

What you will do

• Develop self-service database tools for 1k+ engineers.
• Build and optimize automation for database provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.
• Lead incident response for database issues, ensuring reliability and fast recovery.
• Deliver scalable platforms for provisioning and configuration management (IaC).
• Monitor and optimize resource costs.
• Implement observability solutions for proactive system monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience managing highly available PostgreSQL clusters.
• Experience with PostgreSQL lifecycle tasks.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals.
• Monitoring and observability experience with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of database security.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS) and distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience using Consul for highly available database clusters.
• Experience with monitoring solutions (NewRelic, StackDriver, Prometheus).
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience as a backend developer.
• Familiarity with Java and Python database drivers.
• Experience with continuous delivery using Kubernetes.
