What you will do

• Interpret and verify medication orders with precision and accuracy.
• Review prescriptions for dosing, scheduling, contraindications, allergies, drug interactions, and incompatibilities.
• Communicate with veterinarians, veterinary staff, pharmacy technicians, interns, and pet parents.
• Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold federal, state, and internal pharmacy requirements.
• Process prescriptions using multiple computer systems, complete medication count audits, and support operational performance and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with RPh qualification or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing; additional state licenses and credentials may be required.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods in various positions, including sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking.
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for night and varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
