TL;DR
Director, Merchandise (Music Entertainment): Leading end-to-end merchandise strategy and operations across ’s artist roster with an accent on demand forecasting, product development, D2C e-commerce, vendor management, and tour retail. Focus on modeling inventory and margins, coordinating complex production and logistics, and delivering audit-ready reporting across stadium campaigns and artist launches.
Location: On-site five days a week in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. Applicants in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not require employer visa sponsorship.
Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD

What you will do
- Lead merchandise strategy, demand forecasting, financial modeling, product assortment, and margin planning across the artist roster.
- Manage product development from design files and sampling through approvals, manufacturing, and production timelines.
- Own relationships with manufacturers, pressing and distribution partners, licensed-goods collaborators, fulfillment providers, venues, leagues, and promoters.
- Drive Shopify D2C storefronts, product drops, pre-orders, launch coordination, sales reporting, and inventory decisions.
- Manage tour logistics, freight, cross-border movement, venue coordination, pop-ups, stadium activations, VIP programs, and on-site POS retail.
- Maintain audit-ready reconciliations, inventory documentation, performance reporting, weekly meetings, and cross-functional coordination with legal, finance, communications, and artist teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of direct leadership experience in merchandising within music entertainment, artist management, streetwear, or apparel.
- Deep knowledge of music fan culture, streetwear trends, print-on-demand and quick-turn manufacturing, and traditional cut-and-sew apparel development.
- Experience managing matrixed P&Ls, budget forecasting, open-to-buy planning, and complex royalty frameworks.
- Strong background negotiating manufacturing terms, vendor SLAs, and licensing and intellectual-property requirements.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities driven by tour schedules, cultural moments, and album release timelines.
- U.S. work authorization without employer visa sponsorship is required.
