Senior Backend Developer (C# Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Backend Developer (C#/.NET): Building and maintaining core services for a digital banking platform with an accent on monolith-to-microservices migration and high-scale backend engineering. Focus on designing complex features, optimizing MS SQL data access, and integrating AI-assisted development tools into the production workflow.

Location: Remote or On-site. Required overlap with 2 AM–10 AM PST/PDT.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex features from ideation to production.
• Drive the migration from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
• Modernize legacy functionality and improve the maintainability of existing solutions.
• Develop automated test coverage and produce clear API documentation.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate delivery.
• Analyze logs and telemetry to deliver safe, reliable fixes for production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications and backend APIs in C#.
• Proven track record of making architectural decisions and owning technical trade-offs.
• Strong knowledge of OOD principles and classic design patterns (GoF).
• Expertise in data modeling, MS SQL, and data access optimization.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and unit/integration testing (NUnit/xUnit).
• English: Intermediate+ (B2) required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM/AI features such as agents, RAG, or MCP-based tooling.
• Experience building internal AI-driven developer productivity tools.
