Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Oracle Database Platform (all humans)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Salary: Minimum EUR 2,700 gross per month; actual compensation depends on professional and personal qualifications.

What you will do

• Administer Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, security, access controls, and compliance activities.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, resource utilization, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to problem management.
• Support high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions using Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Create operational automation and collaborate with database, platform, and application teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Recent 2–4 years of experience administering Oracle databases or supporting enterprise database platforms in production.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database operations.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, database security, access controls, and auditing.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or similar scripting, plus basic Linux or Unix administration and infrastructure, storage, and networking fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Multitenant, OCI, AWS, GCP, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Background in database migration and modernization initiatives.
