Team Lead Anti-Money Laundering (Italy)

What you will do

• Lead the daily operations of a 10-person AML team with support from BPO partners.
• Assign tasks and oversee daily alert monitoring.
• Analyze control results, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate remediation across first- and second-line topics.
• Review transaction-monitoring scenarios and propose improvements.
• Develop junior and senior specialists through coaching, support, and empowerment.
• Coordinate with AFC, Internal Control, Internal Audit, Onboarding, Customer Success, and BPO stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of AML experience in Italy, ideally in first-line operations and transaction monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian AML framework.
• Previous management experience, ideally leading a team of at least 3 agents.
• Comfort with automation, data, and AI tools.
• Ability to prioritize high volumes of requests and remain structured during audits and regulatory scrutiny.
• Native Italian and fluent English required.
