Site Reliability Engineer (PostgreSQL): Supporting reliable, secure, and scalable database services across AWS and Google Cloud environments with an accent on PostgreSQL administration and automation. Salary: From €2,700 gross per month

What you will do
- Administer PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Perform database configuration, patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery activities.
- Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot database issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution.
- Implement database security, access management, auditing, and compliance tasks.
- Create and maintain scripts, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to reduce manual work.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of active experience administering PostgreSQL or cloud database services in production.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and database operations.
- Experience with managed database services in AWS and/or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python, and basic Linux/Unix administration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, automation tools, DevOps practices, and CI/CD concepts.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, or AlloyDB.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with cloud migration initiatives.
