What you will do

• Develop and execute security measures protecting information, networks, infrastructure, and computer systems.
• Design cybersecurity strategies and comprehensive security architectures for secure platforms and systems-of-systems.
• Define system security requirements, analyze system effectiveness, and recommend solutions to technical and program stakeholders.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security hardware and software, including intrusion monitoring and preventive controls.
• Identify program-level technical risks and develop mitigation plans across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
• Lead technical tasks, present reports and proposals, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering, applied physics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years with a master’s degree.
• Experience with full-lifecycle systems engineering for security technologies in cyber-physical systems and systems-of-systems.
• Experience designing secured systems from requirements and design analysis, including assessment of external threat vectors.
• Knowledge of critical program information protection, government security documentation, STIGs, supply chain risk management, information assurance, and technology protection.
• Current in-scope Secret security clearance required; Top Secret preferred, with the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with cross-domain products, secured firmware, and microelectronics.
• Knowledge of cryptographic key management, public key infrastructure, NSA Key Management Infrastructure, and cryptology applications.
• Experience writing R&D proposals for commercial and government sponsors.
• Familiarity with DOORS, MATLAB, or Python.
