Location: Remote, U.S.-Based; travel up to 75%
Salary: $145,000–$200,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus or commission

What you will do
- Lead and personally deliver Medicare Stars consulting engagements covering CAHPS, HEDIS, HOS, medication adherence, and operational measures.
- Translate CMS regulations, annual rate announcements, technical specifications, and Stars methodology updates into executable client strategies.
- Analyze measure-level performance and develop recommendations, dashboards, roadmaps, reports, and improvement playbooks.
- Advise health plan executives and operational leaders, facilitate alignment, and build long-term client relationships.
- Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and solutions while identifying new consulting opportunities and representing the practice at industry events.
- Mentor consultants, support methodology development, and strengthen consulting delivery capabilities across Stars performance domains.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States and able to travel up to 75%.
- 10+ years of experience in government-sponsored healthcare, including Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid.
- Direct accountability for Medicare Star Ratings, quality improvement, population health, or regulatory performance initiatives.
- Deep expertise in HEDIS, including NCQA specifications, claims and supplemental data, ECDS reporting, audits, and performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Star Ratings methodology and proficiency with Excel, SQL, and/or other analytics tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with exceptional executive communication, facilitation, presentation, consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Healthcare consulting experience in a national consulting firm, health plan, or healthcare services organization.
- Experience with certified HEDIS engines and Stars analytics platforms.
- Business development, proposal creation, and consulting practice growth experience.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
