What you will do

• Lead and personally deliver complex Medicare Stars consulting engagements across CAHPS, HEDIS, HOS, medication adherence, and operational measures.
• Analyze performance data and translate CMS regulations, rate announcements, and Stars methodology updates into executable improvement strategies.
• Develop executive presentations, dashboards, strategic roadmaps, client reports, and performance improvement playbooks.
• Advise health plan executives and operational leaders, facilitate alignment, and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Lead proposals, scope development, pricing, solution design, and business development for new consulting opportunities.
• Mentor consultants, support methodology development, and contribute to industry thought leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in government-sponsored healthcare, including Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid.
• Direct accountability for Medicare Star Ratings, quality improvement, population health, or regulatory performance initiatives.
• Deep expertise in HEDIS, including NCQA specifications, claims and supplemental data, ECDS reporting, audits, and medical record review.
• Strong knowledge of Stars methodology, including measure weighting, cut points, improvement measures, CAI, reward factors, and Quality Bonus Payments.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and advising executive stakeholders on healthcare quality and operational strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, analytical, presentation, and consulting skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare consulting experience with a national consulting firm, health plan, or healthcare services organization.
• Experience with certified HEDIS engines and Stars analytics platforms.
• Business development, proposal creation, and consulting practice growth experience.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
