What you will do

• Direct and operate live and recorded television productions in a bilingual broadcast environment.
• Code newscasts, build master rundown patterns, and execute production automation workflows using Ross Overdrive or similar systems.
• Collaborate with editorial and production staff from concept through final broadcast.
• Shape broadcast presentation using video, audio, graphics, camera control, and clip playback systems.
• Provide timing cues and direction to on-air talent and technical staff while ensuring technical quality and adherence to operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, complete end-of-show reports, and participate in feedback sessions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in medium- to large-market local news technical directing or television directing.
• Expertise with Ross Overdrive Production Automation or similar systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, journalism, engineering, radio, television and film, operations, media production, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, on any shift in a 24/7 schedule, including weekends and holidays, with short-notice schedule changes.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
