Senior Data Engineer (Azure/AWS/Databricks)

What you will do

• Align with business needs to identify and define critical data requirements.
• Architect and plan robust data models and modern cloud data platforms.
• Act as the senior technical lead for the development of cloud data solutions, specifically lakehouse architectures.
• Participate in technical pre-sales activities, including effort estimation and proposal creation.
• Lead and mentor project teams consisting of 3-6 members.
• Plan and oversee comprehensive testing activities for data solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS-based data platforms.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role guiding warehouse/lakehouse projects.
• Professional experience within a consultancy background.
• Professional working proficiency in both English and Hungarian (written and spoken).
• Ability to work from the Budapest office.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with legacy on-premise platforms such as Oracle or MSSQL.
• Experience working on international projects.
