TL;DR
Device Engineer (eInfochips Inc) (Embedded Systems/Aerospace): Developing and verifying flight management and flight display software to DO-178B/C DAL A standards with an accent on requirements engineering, test case development, and verification artifacts. Focus on analyzing system architectures, executing test procedures, debugging embedded software, and building support utilities for safety-critical avionics workflows.
Location: Complete on-site work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; travel to an Arrow client office may be required.

What you will do
- Verify flight display and flight management software against DO-178B/C DAL A requirements.
- Develop high-level and low-level software requirements from system requirements.
- Analyze system-level architectural requirements for software design and development.
- Review technical artifacts and provide analysis.
- Develop test cases and procedures, execute tests, and generate results and reports.
- Build support utilities to reduce cycle time and perform dry-run and RFS activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience, including embedded systems development.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
- Experience with flight management systems and flight display systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with DO-178B/C DAL A and software code analysis tools such as Rapita, LDRA, or VectorCAST.
- Excellent debugging skills and experience with requirements and configuration management tools, including DOORS or Jama.
