Senior Interactive Systems Designer (Game Design)

Location: Hybrid (Billund, Denmark). Average of 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Design and iterate on interactive play systems using a user-centric approach.
• Produce high-quality design documentation to align cross-functional teams across the organization.
• Prototype play mechanics and behaviors using tools like Unity, Unreal, or microcontrollers.
• Apply systems thinking to create coherent, scalable, and magical play experiences.
• Explore procedural and computational design to create dynamic interactions.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to move concepts from idea to reality.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing interactive play, games, or toy experiences.
• Strong systems thinking skills for creating interconnected play mechanics and behaviors.
• Hands-on programming and prototyping skills (e.g., Unity, Unreal, web, or node-based tools).
• Experience with audio technology, sound synthesis, or procedural audio products.
• Expertise in procedural or computational design approaches, such as generative systems.
• English: CV, motivational letter, and portfolio must be provided in English.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for connected or physical-digital play.
• Familiarity with game engines and live-authoring environments.
• Experience mentoring other designers or setting design standards.
• Development of proprietary procedural audio systems or installations.
