Software Engineer (Motion Control)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain communication libraries for hirify.global Motion products.
• Build and maintain motion control libraries with advanced identification algorithms and tuning tools.
• Develop graphical user interfaces that simplify servo-driver commissioning.
• Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.
• Write architecture and detailed design documentation for motion software platforms.
• Collaborate with Firmware and Quality Assurance teams on product improvements and test plans.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of motion control, including motor types, feedback sensors, and control systems.
• Experience with source code control, software testing methodologies, and automated testing practices.
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, or CANOpen.
• Experience with desktop applications using Qt, PyQt, PySide, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing cross-platform applications for Windows and Linux.
• Experience in motion control, robotics, laboratory automation, or medical automation.
• Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong technical communication skills.
