Director Manufacturing Lead (m/f/d) 80-100% (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Visp, Switzerland; fully site-based. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

Global life sciences manufacturing organization supporting the development and production of medicines across more than 30 sites.

What you will do

• Build and lead the operations organization for the Payload-Linker capacity expansion.
• Manage production managers, supervisors, and specialists, including hiring, qualification, development, coaching, compensation, and performance management.
• Lead operational readiness within the CAPEX project and provide leadership for the CQ project and post-OQ start-up.
• Execute production campaigns while ensuring safety, quality, environmental compliance, and on-time delivery.
• Oversee production costs, forecasts, budgeting, and product cost calculations.
• Support production planning, technical assessments, feasibility requests, performance monitoring, dashboards, and operational controls.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in chemical manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and EHS requirements.
• Fluent English is required; German is an advantage.
• Strong self-motivation, integrity, perseverance, leadership capability, and results orientation.
• Ability to work fully site-based in Visp, Switzerland.

• Experience with Operational Excellence and LEAN principles.
