Salary: $115,500 - $173,300 CAD

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain mobile application features using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Contribute to the evolution of frontend architecture, reusable components, and technical standards.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and researchers to translate UX requirements into technical solutions.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews and documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure reliable end-to-end user experiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience building React Native or high-performance JS/TS applications.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, component architecture, and state management.
• Experience profiling, debugging, and optimizing frontend or mobile application performance.
• Understanding of cross-platform application architecture and communication between JS and native modules.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Waterloo, ON (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Experience building social, community, or gaming consumer products.
• Familiarity with VoIP and call dialing/ringing flows in Android/React Native.
• Experience with accessibility, internationalization, and UI testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern frontend build systems.
• Previous experience in early-stage startups or on zero-to-one product teams.
